Pre-marathon jitters

4 more days to Sundown Marathon....wished had trained more. Am so screwed now. The pain from last weekend's run still lingers and with a busy week, unable to get in some runs this week.

Wish me luck though.

Star Trek: Into Darkness

Star Trek: Into Darkness. Movie did not disappoint, plot was unexpected yet lively. Action and suspense throughout. Cast was the same as the previous movie and there's bits of humour as well.

Definitely recommend for those sci-fi geeks, worth to watch.

Home Team Real Run

Participated in the Home Team RealRun this morning at Sentosa, 10km run with killer slopes and tough sandy trails. Was a good run and scenic route although very challenging.

The organisation of the race however was crappy, the baggage handling especially sucks big time. Total chaos when retrieving baggage:
- baggage was late.
- slow in retrieving.
- no guidance as to queues.
- total chaos.
- baggage lorries blocking road
- baggage collection point was chosen at a chokepoint, causing lots of human jams.

A shame that it's a home team event yet total chaos and disorganisation. This run event might be the second I will boycott in future.

New hobby

So...my new hobby is scuba diving. Am now an Advance Open Water Diver...but my buoyancy and air consumption still got a long way to go.

Sharing some photos of last month's diving in Tulamben, Bali. With my dive buddy and girlfriend, Winnie ;)

Running with new shoes

Tried the new Newton shoes for a short run. Works well like my other Newton, comfortable and bouncy. Forefoot running at it's best, can't go wrong with Newtons.

2 more weeks to Sundown Marathon, itchy me running full marathon....now having doubts if able to complete *gulps*

Anyway.....another running event which I just signed up yesterday, The North Face 100 run in Oct, 25km category. Trail running all the way. More challenges, more excitement.

Next weekend onwards, will be the start of 3 confirmed consecutive weekend running/cycling events, with another 4th weekend probable to participate.

Let the pain begin!

Newton running shoes

Sundown marathon is in 2 weeks. So while collecting the race pack earlier at the Singapore Expo, somehow got myself a new pair of Newton running shoes. Owned a pair previously, the Newton 'Sir Isaac' series thus got the same series but different colour this time. Let's hope the new shoes will last me throughout the marathon, with lots and lots of luck.

Testing testing

The itch to resume blogging is back ;)
